10to10 Prayer Continues...

This is a ‘delayed entry’, but nevertheless wanted to express some of what I wrote in my journal about the hour of prayer. Being a reflective person by nature, I began by reflecting on some of what has transpired since we began tentoten prayer.
1st Week - Brian Cooney led us in worship both in Massena & Saranac Lake. Both were great, but something significant happened in High Peaks Chruch in Saranac Lake

as they experienced a breakthrough in Worship they havent experienced in YEARS. Our hearts were knit with theirs and they were significantly impacted as the saints from Massena stood around them with joined hands and prayed for their future and destiny.

They stood upright on their feet, so to speak, with a desire to move forward. In Massena following the message a woman who has been coming to NTC for a little over a year came forward and was gloriously saved.
2nd Week - Sunday morning Christine Atcheson was so moved upon by the Holy Spirit that she broke down in front of the whole church, completely out of character for her, and vulnerably gushed how she cannot live without Jesus and that she will not pretend in her Christianity to be someone she is not. Her authenticity and vulnerability kept us in rapt attention. We were hit by a Holy Spirit stun gun. Something shifted in that meeting and now we are to steward what began there. The Impassioned Cry of the Holy Spirit through Christine was for us to be totally, completely, absolutely, uncompromisingly, unequivocally and completely yielded to the Holy Spirit...to be wholly dependent on Him and consumed with love for Jesus. This cry demands our response to be radically and brutally honest with ourselves, God and each other.
3rd Week - Intergenerational Service was specially anointed by the Holy Spirit to join the generations together. For those who were there I was told it was the most incredible Intergen Service we have had so far. In Saranac Lake where a few of us went that morning, there was great grace to minister. Brittany Groebler sang a special and it rocked! It was profoundly anointed...it was actually beyond Britanny or anyone for that matter...she stepped into a supernatural dimension of Jesus bringing healing to the church and endorsing NTC’s willingness to come along side. It was incredible. I spoke and it seemed easy to share on how to move forward prophetically, and we do that by not going back to how things once were...but looking forward for how the Lord is moving today. Following the message the first person I prayed for has been a long time friend of the lead elder, Don Corliss, for years, but never attended church. I prayed for a deep need in his heart, and then I asked him if he would like to pray to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior and he said yes. We prayed and he was moved upon by the Holy Spirit. Other significant ministry happened as Joe Hazelton, Frank Donnelly, Brittany Groebler, Lisa Avery and myself prayed over those who came up for prayer.

My time after reflecting on the past three weeks was just enjoying a sense that God is desiring to move powerfully to affect change in our region and that He is smiling at our hearts to engage Him in perhaps deeper ways than we have before. It’s a new day and He is going to breath on hearts that will choose to live for no other reason than for Him. I am reminded of the famous Moravian Count Zinzendorf, who chose from an early age as his life-motto the now famous confession; "I have one passion; it is Jesus, Jesus only." Out of this passion came the longest continuous prayer meeting in the history of the world, a 100 years of continuous prayer for Christ’s Presence and for Souls. The famous quote by two young Moravian missionaries who sailed off to give their life in service to see people come to Christ was, “May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering." This Moravian passion for souls was surpassed only by their passion for the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. This is what I feel the Holy Spirit is leading us to live!
