Safe in Gulu...

Wow...what a great day traveling from Kampala to Gulu! We left Kampala around noon and arrived in Gulu around 5:30pm and what a reception we received. The kids kept hugging us, though they did keep asking for uncle Joe. Thanks Joe for paving the way for an unusually warm welcome from the kids and staff. After a wonderful reception and dinner we were welcomed by three songs the children had practiced for us...it was awesome and tear provoking. Then we all joined in a song and each had to sing our part and do a little dance.

On the way to Gulu we crossed over the Nile river and were able to see a number of Spider monkeys and Orangutans making their way down to the river.
It was so beautiful. Will try to upload pictures of the Nile and the Monkeys if the wireless is fast enough.
We are all heading to bed after a great day.
Love You All,
Pete, Dorie, Christine & Don

God is so faithful, What amazing testimonies already and you've only been there a couple of days. If someone had told you a year ago that you would be in Africa today, what would you have told them? I believe many of us at NTC were just waiting for God to open such a door that would unite us, where we would have to step out in great faith and works AND LOVE. This is only the beginning. How about a picture of the van that so many of us faithfully gave toward?
