Gloria a Deus! Glory to God! On Monday morning Rod and I flew out of Curitiba, BR half way to where the MFI Conference was being hosted. We then got in a car and drove another 3 hours to the resort area where we will spend four days with approx. 200 pastors and leaders. At our first meeting on Monday evening, God was so present and there was grace to minister along the lines of "Being Comfortable Leading With A Limp." As we know, when Jacob wrestled with the angel before returning to the promise land, God had to change his name, nature, and the mark on Jacob that his nature was changed at Peniel, was that he limped the rest of his life. Jacob told the angel, "I will not let you go until you bless me," and he walked away with a limp. Is it possible that a limp could be a blessing? Absolutely! Too often leaders develop a "trust in themselves" mentality, when God wants us to have a "trust in Him" mentality, so that we can face our greatest fears, (Esau in Jacob's story) and then fulfill our destiny. I endeavored to communicate that their past failures, poor choices, pain filled past, in no way disqualifies them for what God has predestined them to be and do. We broke a sense of disqualification off the pastors, which really seemed to strike home, and encouraged them to not resent the limp, but rather understand that it does not disqualify them for service, but actually QUALIFIES THEM FOR GREATNESS.
On Tuesday morning it was my responsibility to prepare the ground for what Rod was going to share on Wednesday morning regarding RTF. Last night I continued with the thoughts that although David failed, made bad choices, he was not disqualified from achieving greatness. In fact his leadership style is one we can learn much from today, so I began contrasting his leadership style with that of his predecessor, Saul. This morning Rod introduced some of the practical aspects of RTF to the pastors, and it went extremely well. He "knocked them dead" or better said, ALIVE!
Both Rod and I sooooooo sense your prayer support, and believe we are being effective because there is the grace to minister and connect with these great leaders. This grace is obviously a result of prayer, your prayer. THANK YOU IMMENSELY. You are here with us, and any victories we are apart of, it is being attributed to your account.
We have one more day here, and then we will leave on a five hour drive to Aracatuba, BR, where the average daytime highs are nearly 100 degrees F. HELP!!! When we arrive in Aracatuba we will be speaking Friday night, Saturday, Saturday night, and again on Sunday. PLEASE KEEP UP YOUR PRAYER, YOU ARE BOUYING US UP, AND NTC IS REALLY MAKING AN IMPACT HERE.
Below are a few pics of Rod and I ministering.

That's all from here...
In His Love,
Don & Rod
